The Company

This leading chilled manufacturer are equally passionate and fanatical about food, their mission is to deliver great quality and innovative products to the major retailers. They are now looking for a Junior Development Chef to join their team, who they can train and teach all aspects of the NPD process to.

The Role

You'll work as part of a large team where you will be exposed to all aspects of new product development, supporting the creation of new recipe ideas and translating these into market leading products with that real ‘wow’ factor. You’ll assist Development Chefs throughout the NPD process, undertaking key tasks such as sample making, sourcing ingredients, updating costing systems and preparing customer briefs and presentations. In addition you’ll ensure the smooth handover of products from kitchen to factory to guarantee You’ll also develop your culinary expertise and industry knowledge though keeping up with the latest food trends, using your skills to contribute to the development of new products whilst revitalising existing ranges to keep up with consumer tastes.

The Person

Suit a newly qualified Chef who is open to exploring the realms of product development within food manufacturing away from the hustle and bustle of fine dining restaurants. Confident and quick to learn you’ll have some previous experience of working in restaurants and are now ready to transfer your creative hands on skills into a fast paced, commercially focused role.
